About me

Well, that's meI know it took me a while to fix up the page and also to update it regularly, but trust me, I am doing my best!

To those that know me a bit there is no need to explain the web silence. To those that do not or have not seen me in a while here it is in one complex sentence. Abundance of fun and excitement over a return to Czech Republic from Hawaii and starting to work at a wonderful software security firm at the beginning then slowly but surely turning to a stressful and painful work environment for new and confused (to say the least and be polite) management, then finally joyful, but very busy period of establishing own company with some of the finest people I have ever met.

So, now I am back in Brno, Czech Republic (if you want to contact me, just use one of the Comments fields anywhere on the page) and am living happily with my dear wife Teri right around the corner from the main railway station and the Rondo sport’s stadium, home of Kometa Brno (well they just might get lucky enough this year to make into playoffs !:-)

I am fortunate enough to be a part of new organization Ander Lippin which we started in the beginning of 2008 and where about 14 people today (yes,we are growing a bit) work in a field of strategic consultancy, investment, business development, especially for IT companies. We managed to put together couple of companies and products since that time – Sticky Password – simple yet powerful password management software for even the most basic user (like me) to help people be safer and faster while using the various Internet portals and applications that require logins or filling out of any type of date. And Web Facies – company that focuses on creating and optimizing e-commerce solutions and support systems and applications for Internet sales. And what was before?

As a person with several years of traveling and living in various places I have had the opportunity to see and live through many cultures and surroundings – this has not changed. Based on these experiences I am trying to share and also get back a bit of the time spent away from home. In any case, I no longer live in Hawaii (again, some did not know that, but I still have a Hawaii driver’s license with a nice rainbow on it), but am back in Brno, in the wonderful Czech Republic. In my Hawaiian times I was employed by a wonderful company called Pacific Wireless Communications which is the largest Motorola dealer in the Pacific.I was getting enormous exposure to newest wireless technologies and also great responsibility and contact base with Federal, State, City and County and Commercial account personnel. Before I decided to take a step towards USA I held a nice and interesting position of Business Development Manager for Europe in Moravia IT, today Moravia Worldwide – one of the largest and surely most dynamic localization service providers in the world.

To take a step way back, I was born in the Czech Republic (actually back then in Czechoslovakia), directly in the second biggest city – Brno. Lived here until I reached and finished the sophomore year of local gymnasium Lerchova, or High School if you will. Being 16 years old my US adventure begun. Along with my sister and my mother we have relocated to New York City, where we resided until 2003.

In 1993 I have completed the High School education in the Humanities HS on Lower West Side in Manhattan and from there went on directly to Sacred Heart University, where I managed to receive a degree in International Business in 1998. The studies brought many challenges and great experiences, including couple of semesters in Florence and in Prague in local Economic Universities. I still love to travel (you should see the collection of fridge magnets I have from each city I visited – I need about 2 fridges to display them all) and do so in every chance I get. After the end of my undergraduate studies I accepted the position of a regional manager for the largest managerial non-for-profit organization in the world International Executive Service Corps. For two years I have been responsible for the Moravian part of the Czech Republic’s restructuring operations conducted by IESC. Working first out of the Prague office where I met my great mentors and friends and then moving to my own office in Brno gave me a great outlook on the local economy as well as to different management and financial practices used by the US retired executives. This gave me the impulse to go into further mind-expansion and I enrolled in an MBA program with degree in Finance. As a student in Hawaii Pacific University I finally utilized all the international experience that I have acquired in the short time span. So what I really like to do? Be around family and friends, enjoy all that life has to offer (within legal boundaries off course!), travel, read, play (and watch) volleyball, hockey, football, golf, tennis and any other racquet sport, talk about nothing and everything and if things stay as they are – work in a great environment. I am lucky enough to enjoy work and as such it is one of my greatest hobbies!

So, if I missed to cover anything in here, let me know.
